MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSBe under the age of 25 years old.Have been a resident of Southwest Ranches for the past two years.Show proof of residency. (Copy of photo ID and a current utility bill)Have served 40 volunteer hours in direct service to the Town from June 2024 – May 2025.Submit application, preferably typed in 12 point font or submitted electronically, a wallet sized photo, a properly documented Volunter Hours Log, (which documents hours volunteered at Town Hall and/or a Volunteer Attandance Log, (which documents hours volunteered at Town Events), a completed W-9 form, and a 250-300 word essay. All required information must be completed and submitted to Town Hall by Friday, MAY 30, 2025.NextThe basis for awarding the scholarship will include school and non-school activities, volunteer service hours, work experience, and an essay of 250-300 words. SEAB members will participate in the blind selection of the qualifiers. Scholarship qualifiers will be presented with a certificate from the SEAB Chair at the meeting of the Town Council on June 26, 2025 at 7:00pm. All scholarship qualifiers are requested to attend or send a resident family member. Please do not include your name within the form below or within the body of your essay. As you complete the following application, please reflect carefully on the last four years. The questions outlined on these pages are meant to stimulate your thinking. Please do not feel limited by them. Please include anything that you feel is important to share that will assist in your evaluation. 1).
