Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

MOU between the Town of Southwest Ranches, South Florida Water Managtement District, South Broward Drainage District, and Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, relating to a Pilot Project to help ensure the Town's water quality and to help reduce flooding within the Town.

Canals & Drainage

Our Town has drainage districts within our boundaries, each of which is overseen by the South Florida Water Management District.

Central Broward Water Control District
Properties on and East of S W 148 Avenue

South Broward Drainage District
Properties west of S W 148 Avenue

Canals connect us! They help keep us dry when it rains as water filters down our properties into them. In areas without canals, easements are used to hold water and keep your properties dry.
