Emergency Services

Law Enforcement

Broward Sheriff's Office District 9 provides law enforcement services to the Town, under the direction and guidance of Commander George Jarboe. Many of our BSO deputies have been working in the Ranches for over 5 years!

Our BSO officers drive off-road Dodge Durangos in order to make sure they can handle all calls and emergencies regardless of our rural terrain. Every officer is trained in handling situations with large animals and dark dirt roads.

We always have 2 or more deputies patrolling our Town at all times.

If you have a concern or question for BSO, please contact them at the following numbers:

Emergency:
911 (24 hours / 7 days)
Non-Emergency: 954-765-4321 (24 hours / 7 days)

Southwest Ranches Volunteer Fire-Rescue

Volunteer Fire Chief Dick Christensen leads a magnificent team of volunteer fire fighters, who are always ready to help out in every situation! They have taken it upon themselves to map every road in our Town and learned all the ins and outs of our Rural Environment to be better prepared for assisting our residents in emergencies. The department has also created a program called the Reflective Address Marker Program, to help identify homes in the Ranches from a distance in the dark.
